You will need to enter a CNAME value on your domain to use a custom domain on brushd. This will allow you to create a custom domain address like www.example.com or portfolio.example.com.

If you have any difficulty setting up your CNAME please contact support and we will help you set up your custom domain.

  1. Go to your domain registrars website and log in to your account.
  2. Select the domain you want to use and look for their DNS (Domain Name Service) management.
  3. Remove any existing CNAME entry for the name that you want to use on brushd. For example if you want to use www.example.com remove any CNAME entry that matches www, for portfolio.example.com remove any CNAME entry that matches portfolio. If there are none don't worry and move on to the next step.
  4. Add a new CNAME entry. In the Alias/Host/Subdomain section of the new entry enter the subdomain you want to use (for www.example.com enter www, for portfolio.example.com enter portfolio). In the Value/Destination field enter brushd.com. Some services may give you an invalid error for brushd.com, if that is the case they may require you to enter brushd.com. (with the dot at the end)
  5. Log into your account on brushd.com and select domain, enter the domain you wish to use.

Advanced : If you wish to use your root domain (example.com instead of www.example.com) you must point an A record to our main IP 208.100.49.52, in the rare event we need to change our IP addresses we will notify you in advance.

If you need any help setting this up we can help you out. Contact support at support@brushd.com and we'll guide you through the process. We can also purchase and setup a domain on your behalf if you contact us.
